Problem

  • How to enable or disable hidden elevated Administrator Account in Windows 8.1?

The hidden elevated administrator account has full access rights and permission on the Windows 8.1.
By default, this elevated Admin-Account is disabled.

Solution

  • Right-click the Windows button
  • Tip: Use Windows-Key + X
  • Click Command Prompt (Admin)

Windows 8.1: How to open the Command Prompt as Administrator

  • To enable the hidden administrator use this command:
net user administrator /active:yes
  • To enable the hidden administrator protected by password use this command:
net user administrator * /active:yes
  • To disable the Administrator account use this command:
net user administrator /active:no

net user administrator * /active:yes +  net user administrator /active:yes + net user administrator /active:no

  • If you enable this Admin Account you have to log out and to log in or to restart your PC.
  • Now you will see the new Admin Account on your login screen
